Objectives and Key Results, oh my!

We had our January Kick-Off this week, and we're now fully in planning for the upcoming race (effectively a quarter). I'm also looking at personal and discipline OKRs. There's a lot of OKRing going on, is what I'm saying.

1-1s

I also had a lot of 1-1s this week, catching up with people after the festive season. As the organisation grows, this is going to get harder to do (only so many hours in the week) so I'm going to have to look at how I do this over the next year.

Org Design (for Design Orgs)

We have a goal of doubling the design team this year, which means a fair bit of considering how we might set everyone up for success, both in terms of hiring and onboarding, but also how we structure the org as it scales so rapidly. It's interesting stuff, and the work of Peter Merholz has been in high rotation on my reading list.
